Three-Year Accessibility Plan

(2026-2029)

Overview:

This accessibility Plan outlines the measures Robson Valley Junior Academy will take to remove and prevent barriers and to promote inclusion for individuals with disabilities in our school community. The plan is based on the Accessibility principles of Adaptability, Collaboration, Diversity, Inclusion, Self-Determination, and Universal Design, as set out in the Accessible B.C. Act.

Priority #1: Information and Communication

Robson Valley Jr. Academy will enhance the accessibility of information and communication for all individuals, including those with disabilities, through the following actions:

Priority #2: Physical and Architectural:

Robson Valley Jr. Academy will improve the accessibility of the physical and architectural environment for all individuals, including those with disabilities, through the following actions:

Exterior Equipment Storage Lockers Doors need improved latching system
Field leveling Fill Low Spots with top soil and cover roots with topsoil. Summer 2026
ceiling tiles Ceiling tiles that look  damaged – Check to see if they need to be replaced or if there is mold

In addition to the public availability of the plan, RVJA will continue to post an annual status report on the progress of the Three-Year Accessibility Plan on the school’s website.
